Good news from the British Cheese Awards

Spring and summer is a busy time for a truckle of Yarg. Many agricultural shows all over the country hold cheese award events, and we try to enter several each year. It’s not just for the glory of the prize. Winning an award is a great indicator of how we are doing and the judges’ notes are always useful feedback for us.

The Royal Bath and West is home to the prestigious British Cheese Awards where we are proud to have won two golds, a silver and a bronze this year.

We also sell our baby Yargs at a few shows too – the Royal Cornwall Show on June 9,10,11 being our busiest. It’s great to meet our many customers face to face, to hear what they have to say about Yarg and watch their eyes light up as we cut more cheese for tasting because one nibble is never enough!)
