Delivery

Delivery charges

Cost of delivery will be calculated at checkout depending on the weight of the order being despatched. Standard orders in the UK are £7. Gift vouchers are £2.85. Free postage is applied to orders over £50 (basket value).

We also offer a free ‘Local pickup’ option whereby you can order products online and collect at The Dairy Shop

Delivery dates

When placing an order, you can choose a delivery/collection date to suit you. You can choose a delivery date from 2 working days time to 3 months in advance. At peak times such as Christmas, delivery slots do fill up, and are treated on a first come first serve basis.

For cheese that is required for an event or occasion, we recommend choosing a delivery date at least 3 days before your event in case of any delays.

As we use a third-party courier service, we cannot always guarantee your order will arrive on the specified delivery date. We will work with you and the courier service to solve any issues around delays.

Your preferred delivery date will be included in your order confirmation email.

Courier service and tracking information

We use a third-party overnight courier service for orders to most of the UK. For addresses in Scotland and offshore islands, delivery may take longer. As our cheeses are perishable products, we always recommend choosing a delivery date for a time when someone is available to receive the delivery from the courier.

The third-party courier service will provide you with tracking information about your order at the point they have collected it from us at the dairy. An estimated delivery slot window will be provided to the email address used to place the order. Please note that the third party will deliver to the Shipping address, and notify the email address used when placing the order. A photograph will be provided at the point of delivery by the third-party courier. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep track of any notifications from the courier. We cannot take responsibility for any changes that you make to your delivery address or date through the third-party courier service (APC or Royal Mail), as these changes can cause delays.

Lynher Dairies assigns all orders to be left at the property in a safe place if the recipient is not in to receive the order. This helps to minimise delays. As a result, we encourage all customers to leave delivery instructions in case they are not in to receive the order. We do not take responsibility for any orders lost or stolen after delivery.

Please contact us if there are any issues with the delivery of your order.

Shipping details and contact information

We ask that all customers make sure that all contact and shipping address details are correct when placing an order. Customers are responsible for checking the order confirmation email to ensure all the correct details and shipping address have been provided. Customers must notify us immediately about any changes that need to be made. The delivery date and shipping address are shown during checkout, and in the email confirmation once the order is complete.

Receiving your order

When your order arrives, we recommend refrigerating your goods.

Quality

We are committed to providing you with the highest quality products. As our products are perishable goods, please unpack and refrigerate your cheese as soon as you can, and follow the ‘Care for your cheese’ guidance provided in your parcel. Customers must contact us regarding any goods received which are unsatisfactory within 7 days. Any photos which can help us with your enquiry are greatly appreciated.

Packaging

Orders are sent out in insulated cardboard boxes which are recyclable to maintain the quality of the cheese. Icepacks are used for temperature control and are reusable.

Returns and refunds

We do not accept returns of perishable goods.

Replacements or refunds for undelivered, delayed, or sub-quality products will be arranged at our discretion.

Should you wish to cancel your order, please notify us up to 1 working day before your delivery date, and we will issue a refund for your order.

Where a refund is appropriate it will only be made payable to the purchaser of the goods with the payment details provided in the order.

Gift vouchers cannot be replaced. Any goods purchased using the gift voucher cannot be refunded. If necessary, we will replace the goods ordered.
