Nettles are crucial for the production of Cornish Yarg, so we do rather hold our breath each year to see how many Mother Nature is going to provide us with.

This spring, we experienced a longer season than usual -possibly due to the colder weather – and the nettles we harvested were bigger and better than ever before.

We can’t pick nettles in the rain, either, so although our spring was chilly, it was largely dry.

The bumper crop is now in our freezer, waiting to be painted onto truckles throughout the year.
