We’ll be sad to see the back of 2014. It started as the wild garlic began to spring up in the Cornish woodlands, and we scooped a coveted category award at the British Cheese Awards. Our Wild Garlic Yarg won the Best Flavour Added title, and we came away with two golds and two silvers in other categories too. The International Cheese Awards brought home three more golds, with three further coming our way at the Great Taste Awards. Then came the World Cheese Awards, where our new cheese, Cornish Kern, due to be launched this time next year, won a Gold. Kern was also named Reserve Supreme Champion, as well as Best Regional Cheese.

And as if that weren’t excitement enough, this year also brought a couple of royal visits to the dairy – one from the Countess of Wessex and another from the queen of baking herself, Mary Berry.

Finally, what better way to bring 2014 to a close than by being named Manufacturer of the Year at the Western Morning News Business awards?

None of this would mean a thing if people like you didn’t buy and enjoy our cheeses as much as you do, so a heartfelt thank you for your support, and here’s to 2015!
