Christmas FAQs

November and December are busy months so if you have a question to ask about your Christmas delivery, please check these FAQs below before contacting us. Thank you!

How long will my cheese keep after ordering?

All our cheeses now have Use By dates that take us into the New Year.

Whole truckles ( a Cornish Yarg 900g, for example) will be good for six weeks before cutting.  Cut wedges of Kern will last for six weeks, wedges of our other cheeses will be three weeks (Yarg) or four weeks (Stithians).

Are the Christmas hampers gift-wrapped? What about adding a gift note?

All hampers are gift-wrapped. A gift note can be added to any purchase at checkout.

Can I order now and have the cheese delivered at a time of my choosing?

Yes, you can select your delivery date at checkout (we would recommend a delivery date during the week starting 13th December if your cheese is for Christmas). Bear in mind that we do not deliver Fri-Mon inclusive so select the most convenient one for you from our list. We use a 24 hour service but with such high demand at Christmas, we advise allowing up to 48 hours for delivery.

Can I send to several different addresses?

If you want to send to different addresses, you must complete a separate order for each one.

Can I order over the phone instead of online ?

Yes, but if you want to order over the phone, please send us an email first to with the following: Specify what product you want, let us have both your billing address and the delivery address and also your phone number, and please state the delivery date of choice.

We will then phone you back to take your credit or debit card details.

Can I come and buy cheese directly from the dairy?

Yes. Our dairy shop is open from 9am-4.30pm Mon-Fri. We sell all our cheeses as well as a few other delicious items. See our contact details for directions.

How far in advance can I order?

As long as you like!

What happens if I am out when my cheese arrives?

You can specify a safe place at checkout and leave a cool box out for the delivery driver. If anything changes between ordering and your delivery date, you must let DPD know (ie not us!) via the tracking email they will send you.

What happens if my cheese does not arrive or if it arrives in a condition I am not happy with?

This is rare but please phone us if this does happen.

Happy Christmas, all!
